THE STORY OF THE BOOTH
In 2017 Jennifer Zhan and Keli Kemp, who had worked together in their previous positions for over 6 years, and collaborated on several projects, began discussing branching out on their own. During the brain-storming portion of their new venture, meetings often took place in various coffee shops and restaurant booths around Atlanta and detailed plans, and a leap of faith were made for a launch the following year.
When they secured their first office space in 2018, it was a co-working space in Midtown Atlanta which had similar booths in the open collaborative style. As staff expanded, they quickly outgrew the shared space in Midtown and moved to our current office space in Downtown Atlanta. The tradition of the restaurant booth continues in the current office. Employees often use it for lunch or a quick meeting.

MOVING TO OUR FIRST OFFICE
Moving into our first office! Our entire office fit on one cart.
We quickly outgrew the shared space in midtown and began searching for the perfect office with our own dedicated space. Our only employee at the time, was asked what was important to him in an office location. The answer was proximity to MARTA, and great nearby restaurants. Shortly after we were a staff of 6, and the move downtown occurred in the spring of 2019.

The Healey Building checked all the boxes our staff was looking for, and more! It is one of the oldest buildings in Atlanta, constructed between 1913-1914 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1977. It is in the Fairlie-Poplar Neighborhood which is a popular location for filming movies and TV shows due to its rare architectural styles and location. In 2019 both "Respect" a biopic about Aretha Franklin starring Jennifer Hudson, and "Lovecraft Country" a series on HBO, in which the streets were transformed to scenes from the 1950s, were filmed both inside and outside our building. In the summer of 2021, Shazam 2 began filming on nearby streets downtown.

OUR NEW ATLANTA OFFICE
We quickly outgrew our space in The Healey Building and moved from downtown Atlanta to Midtown. The 730 Circa building has become the home of our new Atlanta office.​ When designing the new office, it was important to have a booth to keep the tradition going and to remind us where MMP all began.
