We pride ourselves in the diversity of our employees and the varying perspectives they bring to our clients and our community. Not only do we strive to plan equitable transportation systems, at Modern Mobility Partners, we make a very intentional effort to foster an inclusive workplace environment. It is ingrained in our DNA – in our company culture. Part of that is making a positive social and community impact.

WTS focuses on equity, access and advancement for women in transportation, and as a women-owned transportation planning firm, we are proud to be a sponsor. They work locally to offer professional development, mentoring, community service and networking opportunities to attract, sustain, connect and advance women’s careers in the transportation industry.

In her role as co-chair, Sherri is responsible for planning and supervising the implementation of activities and fundraising efforts of the local chapter. Sherri works with educational entities, government and affiliate partners to provide timely training and educational programs specific to the current and future requirements/needs of employers in the transportation industry and the local chapter’s sponsors. She oversees all Outreach Initiatives by proposing and coordinating the Chapter’s external projects.

We are proud to be a corporate sponsor of Soul Supplies, a non-profit dedicated to raising awareness and helping the homeless right here in Atlanta. One of their outreach projects involves distributing backpacks filled with supplies to those experiencing homelessness, and Soul Supplies also works to connect them with community resources such as housing, treatment and employment assistance.

Keli Kemp recently joined the PFLAG Atlanta Board of Directors as Vice President. PFLAG, which is Parents, Families and Friends of Atlanta's LGBTQ+ Community, promotes the health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, their families, and friends through support, education, and advocacy. Keli has always been an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, but as the parent of two children who identify as LGBTQ+, Keli is more passionate than ever in providing support and helping move the needle towards a more equitable and educated workforce.

We offer paid volunteer time for all full-time employees so they have the opportunity to give back. Our Senior Modeler, Sai, volunteers with Lokarpan to teach math and physics to disadvantaged students in India, a program which offers solutions to empower communities living in stress. Sai says "There is no such thing as a selfless act. While the kids might be benefitting from my teaching, I can say with certainty that I feel more rewarded at the end of every class. And there is nothing like helping someone in need during these challenging times the world is currently facing, even more so when you can do it without moving away from the comfort of your home."

As a transportation planning firm, we feel it is important to bring awareness to alternate and greener means of transportation, so every October we participate in Biketober, sponsored by the Midtown Alliance. Teams are formed and miles and trips are logged to compete with other companies similar in size. Julia, pictured here, was our 2019 first place winner in both categories, and overall MMP placed 16th out of 55 participating companies with 7-19 employees!
